The Gerunds are Peter Cortner and Hunter Bennett.
Peter was the frontman for legendary punk band Dag Nasty (Dischord Records) and currently fronts hardcore band Field Day (Unity Worldwide Records).
Hunter plays in Washington DC's Dot Dash (The Beautiful Music Records).
With "Hitsville, PA," Peter and Hunter build on their DC hardcore roots by texturing in a diverse array of influences. Powerful, evocative lyrics are underpinned by punk, post-punk, and dub to develop one of the most memorable releases. You'll hear vestiges of New Order, Wire, TV on the Radio, Joy Division, Franz Ferdinand, and the Kinks. Package design by the esteemed graphic designers Jeremy Dean and Simon Tripcony.
