Karma begins with a reference to shadow - the opener of Licht. A world infected by economic rationality. Consumption, distraction, smoke and mirrors, external forms - people have lost touch with themselves and their environment. ‘Can't you feel the one nerve that really hurts, or does the shadow only let you see what it wants?’ The third concept album revolves around the principle of cause and effect. We will sow what we reap. In a personal context, in our relationships with other people and the planet as well as on a meta-level in political and global contexts. Hate never ends with hate. Only compassion, respect and trust can bring us closer together. Only humility, righteousness and modesty can help us to preserve the earth as a planet worth living on. If we no longer know who we are, we cannot make conscious decisions. If we no longer know what we stand for, we can no longer take our own position. When everything is important, nothing is important. ‘Who, if not us? When, if not now? Where, if not here? I take my life into my own hands and start again.’ KARMA is clear. KARMA is direct.
