SALT ROCKET TO NOWHERE is the sophomore album from Northwich punk band KICKED IN THE TEETH, it follows on from their self-titled debut in 2019, the DEATH ADVENTURE 7" and the ERMAL FRAZE EP in 2020. It will be released through RARE VITAMIN RECORDS on 12", CD, CASSETTE, probably minidisc at some point and whatever other mad formats Jase can come up with. It's a darker and more aggressive sound than the first record and was recorded in the bands home at the time 'Soggy Towers', so called because of the excessive amount of damp coursing through the building, it's since been sold, refurbished and repurposed, that's when they learnt the floor was so rotten the only thing holding them up on the first floor was the carpet itself. As the room no longer exists 'Salt Rocket To Nowhere' and 'The Life and Times of Ermal Fraze' are the only things to ever be recorded in that space. Freezing cold, damp, mouldy and backed up by the rats that lived in the ceiling might not sound ideal, but it's definitely left it’s mark on the sound of these recordings - gotta suffer for your art kids! The record follows the blueprint of the first with 10 songs clocking in under 30 minutes, so there's no time to be getting bored. That said for all it’s punchiness it sees the bands song writing and lyrical content progressing quite a bit, don’t worry though they haven't descended into self-indulgent prog gibberish just yet, it marries up the bands sense of urgency with their enduring ambition not to be shit. Armed with this new album the band will be spreading their wings and getting around the country with tours slated for March and May and appearances at Forever Young, Manchester Punk Festival and Rebellion Festival among others, so with a bit of luck and good weather 2022 may well just be 'Year of The Teeth'!
