M-Theory Audio will reissue The Beginning of the End, the sophomore album release from NYHC stalwarts SWORN ENEMY. The group's 2006 release, originally released by Abacus Records, was produced by As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis and also features Lambesis on the song “After The Fall.” The Beginning of the End was mixed by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Terror, Shadows Fall). This limited-edition release of only 300 copies is pressed on Red/Orange Swirl vinyl and features new liner notes by singer Sal Lococo. Sworn Enemy is a product of the extremely expansive and influential New York hardcore scene. In 2001 the band released Negative Outlook on Hatebreed singer Jamey Jasta’s Stillborn Records. The effort was a mix of old-school hardcore and new-school breakdowns, and it quickly gained the band attention in the broader hardcore scene. Soon after came Integrity Defines Strength, the title being a play on the I.D.S. crew that Sworn Enemy claimed loyalty to. It contained 3 new songs and a live set from CBGB’s. Sworn Enemy signed to major label Elektra Records in 2003. The result was As Real As It Gets. The album incorporated a large thrash metal influence, as well as abrasive modern metal. The new style and worldwide distribution led to major tours including Ozzfest that year. Then signing to Century Media Sworn Enemy continued to grind out three more albums and relentless touring alongside the likes of Earth Crisis, Terror, Shai Hulud, Lionheart, Freya, Suicide Silence, All Shall Perish, Sepultura, Kataklysm, Carnifex, Warbringer, Dying Fetus, Lorna Shore, 100 Demons and Six Feet Under. In 2019 Sworn Enemy signed to M-Theory Audio, recorded Gamechanger with Machine Head’s Robb Flynn producing and have toured the US and Europe with the likes of Anthrax, Sacred Reich, Vio-lence, and shows with bands as diverse as Judas Priest, Life Of Agony, Overkill and Shadows Fall.
