Watch out, here comes not “just” a new album, but a homage to the wild 80s Oi! and streetpunk underground of a different kind: “BELIN EI PIAZII” by the legendary Italian cult band KLASSE KRIMINALE!
Founded in 1980 by Marco Belestrino, the Italians have explored precisely this era and the roots of the Italian-European skinhead and punk movement on their new album and re-recorded 15 “lost songs” by notorious bands or bands that are only known to a few today:
Raw diamonds, fun, militant rebellion and hate anthems as well as obscure contributions from bands such as the Herberts, Total Crash, Gangland or Shellshock, who, together with Klasse Kriminale, made the streets unsafe back then and quickly became the soundtrack of a rebellious youth in the rehearsal room or at DIY concerts. Klasse Kriminale have recorded these never-before-released songs in the spirit and style of those early days and associate a lot of memories with this time, which are also described very personally on 4 pages of the inlay sheet in English and Italian! Oi! Oi!” or ‘Skin della Lanterna’ fill the speakers, you can't just imagine what it was like back then...great concept album, including a newly recorded own song ‘Keep the Faith’, which beams us back to the here and now and is a worthy conclusion to the album!
