Iron Maiden - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
Description
Musically, "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" is Iron Maiden's most complex and varied album to date. The experimental process that began with "Somewhere In Time", which included the use of synthesizers, continued with "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son". An acoustic solo like the one at the end of "The Prophecy" had not yet existed in this form with Iron Maiden. The complex songwriting relied more on composition teams: Until then, Steve Harris had been the band's main songwriter, but now Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith were also more involved than ever. Dave Murray participated as a songwriter on one song.
"
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" is clearly different from the previous Maiden albums: You won't find fast rockers in the style of "The Trooper" or "Two Minutes to Midnight" here, instead there are longer, more varied pieces on the album.
Tracklist:
1. Moonchild
2. Infinite Dreams
3. Can I Play With Madness
4. The Evil That Men Do
5. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
6. The Prophecy
7. The Clairvoyant
8. Only The Good Die Young
