Glow Kit - naive antlers

GLOW KIT has been Northern Europe's best-kept garage pop secret for almost a decade. Together with their punk alter egos COLA FREAKS and the metered use of wave elements, JAY REATARDS Matador days could be surrounded with less strength for perfection. GLOW KIT songs stick to your ear and it was sad to see them take a break. They have been back for some time and like NANCY or DANGUS TARKUS it is far too rough, square, energetic for the pop music industry and too sunny for the frozen crusties genre. On "Naive Antlers" Kasper & Kristoffer raise the pop monster to Godzilla size and let it bounce around until it turns a North Sea beach cabin mojo that wobbles from lo-fi acoustic pop gusts of wind. The super catchy vocals range from direct microphone-to-speaker crashes that are reminiscent of contemporary DWARVES jewelry. Next up are wavy chimney heartbreakers with arranged intro and outro parts. You had to listen to bow in humble worship to these pop creators. Every time we hear it later, we always ask ourselves how they did it and how long the LP lasted - here are twelve pieces of evidence.
