Available on vinyl for the first time ever: the entire legendary 1993 album by the GDR underground formation with today's Rammstein musicians, plus the songs from the tape "Kinder Der Maschinen Republik" from the 80s. Double LP in inside-out case with 24-page LP booklet (photo cardboard) on major label.
Founded in 1983 as "Firma Trötsch", the East Berlin quintet around founding members Frank "Trötsch" Tröger and Tatjana Besson lasted a whole decade, with changing musicians coming from or going to other well-known scene bands such as Feeling B, Ichfunktion or Freygang, the former members Richard Kruspe, Christoph Schneider, Paul Landers and Faren Matern are still active at Rammstein today. Considered to be particularly critical of the state and society, the company nevertheless had an official license to play in the GDR. Shortly after an invitation from French President Francois Mitterrand to the Elysee Palace, Tröger and Besson's Stasi membership became known. An unpleasant contradiction to the cult-like adoration of the band in the resistant underground scene, but the bottom line is that "Kinder Der Maschinen Republik" with its excited mix of brutal punk rock and cool new wave was one of the most iconic music releases of the (ex) GDR and this band is a whole generation. 24 songs that should not be missing from any pan-German punk rock collection!
