After 33 years, Dead Moon's legendary New Year's Eve concert at Berlin's Club Ecstasy is now available on vinyl: fans had rediscovered a lost cassette recording and brought it out on record themselves. It is an uncut live recording of one of the very first Dead Moon concerts in Europe with 24 songs, including a version of Lou Reed's “Waiting for the Man” sung by Toody Cole that had never been released on vinyl before. Despite the age of the tape and the technical possibilities of the time, the quality of the recording is surprisingly good. Tracks B6 and D7 are unfortunately incomplete, as this is where the A/B sides of the cassette ended. After the first edition of the double album of 300 copies was completely sold out within just four weeks, there is now a second edition of 300 copies. Pressed on recycled vinyl in a small pressing plant in Güstrow. A must for Dead Moon fans and a wonderful reminder of Toody & Fred Cole and Andrew Loomis.
