Berlin Diskret - Erinnere Dich

In their third incarnation, the Berlin super group Berlin Discret, featuring Don Lotze, Asphalt Tiger and The Artist Formerly Known As Metal Warrior, is opening a new chapter with new front woman Elli. Asphalt Tiger has donated half of the confidently brash lyrics and as a Neukölln scene size Elli also has an irresistibly gruff mouth, which also delivers one lyrical highlight after the other on the 14 excellent songs of "Erinnere Dich", in which almost everyone and everything can be get rid of fat. Razor-sharp guitar licks meet wonderfully booming bass lines, crisp shooting gallery action, horny, needy backing vocals and again and again deliciously prepared surprises in the form of synths, harmonica, tambourines and charmingly misused, not entirely unknown New Wave riffs.
Combos like Östro 430, Hans-A-Plast, Bärchen & Die Milchbubies, early Abwärts, very early Cure let Berlin Discreet peep lovingly around every corner and, meanwhile, with "Erinnere Dich" they easily shake their enchanting third and best album out of their sleeves .
