Reissue! Just like Hot Water Music, Avail are simply a bank when it comes to absolutely effortlessly following up a masterpiece of an album with the next. And just like HWM, Avail serve both the hardcore, punk and emo factions equally with their melodic raw heartfelt anthems. And just like HWM they don't copy themselves, but are open to new things and changes on every album, in this case slide guitars and a violin are used on two songs, which gives it a slight southern flair. And just like HWM, they're already a legend in their own lifetime and part of the reason I'm still doing all this crap. Lyrically, it's all about things you ponder with friends over a cold beer on a 'front porch' (if you had one). (if you had one) with your friends. Friendship, love, life struggle and betrayal.
