In September 2002, almost exactly 22 years ago, 4LYN released their second album “NEON”. With this album, they were THE German new metal band of the early 2000s. “NEON” also featured the first quieter tunes with ‘Pearls & Beauty’, a track that is still one of the most listened to streams today.
With plenty of tailwind from the success of the first album and the Motor Music label (Universal), the band was on the road a lot in 2002. There was a tour with Dredg and the legendary Rock am Ring stage was played.
“NEON” stayed in the German charts for 6 weeks and climbed to number 27. The CD also sold so many copies in Austria that it was listed in the charts for 4 weeks.
With all the concerts, tours and CD sales, only one thing was forgotten: A vinyl record! And that's exactly where Backbite Records comes in. Re-pressings of out-of-print titles or first pressings of albums that were released exclusively on CD - that's what the label has been doing for over 10 years.
Under license from Universal Music Germany and in collaboration with the band 4LYN, we are proud to present the first vinyl edition of “NEON”.
The LP is limited to only 500 copies, comes on orange vinyl, with lined inner sleeve and LP sleeve with 3mm spine.
