Brand new 4-song EP of the Düsseldorf punk rock institution as 12” (45 RPM Super Sound Single) including 4c inlay with lyrics, photos and download code on Sunny Bastards.
Everything on 'Reset' at 4 PROMILLE, back to the start? No - but anyone who has been a permanent fixture in the subcultural music scene for so many years must inevitably continue to develop, but can also combine the old with the new. After the successful album 'Vinyl' (number 64 in the Album Top 100), the band took a long break from the studio and preferred to play their fingers to the bone at festivals and club tours right up to the BROILERS support shows.
And now the Düsseldorf quintet is on the road again for an extensive fall tour with the Brits from BUSTER SHUFFLE. And this time not without a new album in their luggage! 4 PROMILLE present themselves in their usual top form, their highly melodic yet raw singalong punk rock still carries that certain touch of street attitude and a subtle melancholy. The opener 'Viva La Fifa' gets things off to a hymn-like start - of course the lyrics do not convey praise, but rather sarcastic criticism of the official business of soccer.
With 'Reden Ist Silber, Schreien Ist Gold', singer MELLY presents herself in old-school punk rock mode. On the B-side, 'Treu' builds a bridge from the very first band single ('Die Jungs Von Nebenan', 1997) to today's sounds, emphasizing the firm love and connection to the subculture. The TOM WAITS cover 'Yesterdays Here' closes this vinyl gem in the classic 80's maxi single format (45 RPM) in top sound quality. A real punk rock and vinyl highlight!
