2005 - 2025...20 years of The Offenders! Here is their new album “Storm over the Mainland” for the anniversary The Offenders' 10th album combines all the influences and styles of the band from the last 2 decades in the 12 new songs:
From the driving offbeat of the pre-release “Partizani in Budapest”, released on 30.01.25, to the mandolin-accented folk-punk of “Off my chest” - from the classic strraight-foward ska-punk of “The way the people think” to the dominating guitar riffs of the punk rock anthem “Sixteenth Round”.
“Storm over the Mainland” is the band's most varied album with sophisticated songwriting, catchy chorals and a perfectly tuned ‘kick-ass’ sound that is sure to get you dancing on the dance floor or singing along loudly!
At first glance, a seemingly cheerful party song like “Partizani in Budapest” turns out to be a rebellious resistance song against the annual so-called “day of honor” state parade, which is dominated by Hungarian right-wing extremists.
“The way the people think” deals with the increasing spread of right-wing populist dangers in society. Whether socio-critical topics such as “The Breach” or private life experiences (“off my chest”): The Offenders are by no means a fun band, even if their music has plenty of that to offer.
