Ward, Jim - Daggers

The solo studio album from Jim Ward - lead singer and guitarist of Sparta and co-founder of the post-hardcore band At The Drive-In. When it comes to his long and fruitful career in music, Jim Ward is not guided by vanity or money or a great story in which he is the central player. It's about the song, the melody, the lyrics. Ward has followed this philosophy as he has performed in various bands throughout his long and winding career. In 1994 and at the age of 17, Ward co-founded the legendary post-hardcore band At The Drive-In. They released three critically acclaimed studio albums and several EPs before disbanding in 2001. Ward formed Sparta, whose most recent release is 2020's Trust The River. In between, Jim Ward formed his alt-country project Sleepercar and is now also releasing a solo album titled Daggers. Guest musicians include Ben Kinney of Incubus on bass and Tucker Rule of Thursday on drums.
