TOXOPLASMA from Neuwied released a demo recording in 1981, which found its way to Karl Walterbach and his Berlin label Aggressive Rockproduktionen (AGR), whereupon the band contributed three songs to the legendary German-American sampler "Underground Hits" in 1982.
Encouraged by the positive feedback, TOXOPLASMA released their first self-titled album shortly afterwards in early 1983, also on Aggressive Rockproduktionen. And this album, which was produced under the direction of Harris Johns at Musiclab Berlin, was to become one of the most influential and groundbreaking classics in German punk history. Songs such as ‘S.O.S.’, ‘Ordinäre Liebe’, ‘1981’ and ‘Vakuum’ are lashes right in the face of the hated society and unforgettable hits to this day.
The reissue also contains 4 rare bonus tracks.
