Description

The 1461 shoe is named after its date of birth, April 1, 1961, and it has become an icon. Originally sold to office workers as a long-lived men's shoe, the model became popular among political demonstrators in the 1970s and 1980s, and was known as a fashion item in universities across the UK. Today, the shoe is worn as a symbol of rebellious self-expression in all walks of life.

This 1461 shoe remains true to the original and features a durable premium upper and classic 3-eyelet lacing: rounded off with our ultra-comfortable AirWair technology and non-slip sole.

Upper:
100% leather

lining:
55% leather, 45% textile

Sole:
100% PVC

Dr. Martens shoes are an invention of german medical Klaus Märtens. They became popular in Great Britain of the late 1960's. They have an air-cushioned sole and are oil-, water-, gasoline- and acid-resistant.

They are popular everywhere, not only in the punk scene. Whether in 8-eye or 3-eye, slim or classic, with or without its characteristic yellow stitches, vegan or made of leather, Dr. Martens are not to be missed out on the streets!
