Dogtown - the beginning of a revolution!

Surfing in rough waters in front of abandoned amusement parks, skating in pumped-out garden pools and no one comes to the adrenaline junkie-clicque without an invitation - that's how Dogtown, Venice used to be. The Dogtown Cross, sketched and sprayed by C. R. Stecyk III, first became known across the outskirts in 1976 when it appeared in boldly in Skateboarder Magazine. In Dogtown were the Z-Boys, the craziest surfers in the city, who got their name from the Zephyr surf team around Jeff Ho and his workshop. The team included Stacey Peralta, Jim Muir, Peggy Oki, Jay Adams and their buddies. As soon as no wave came or it got dark, they made the asphalt their own with their rolling boards.
Music and boards always fit together: Jim Muir (later Suicidal Tendencies) and Wes Humpston (later Bulldog Skateboards) merged at the time to design skateboards in terms of color and design, which hit like a bomb, Dogtown here we go ! Since then we have found it spread across the skate scene on boards, merch and stickers. A few years ago, the brothers Jim & Mike Muir reunited the brands as a family company: Dogtown x Suicidal, that worked in the 1980s.
"Our only crime is to be original and we are still obsessed with skating after all these years." Run, operated, produced and designed by skaters and respected & appreciated by skaters worldwide.
Rough skin, harder core. Dogtown!
