Almost 10 years after the "Hitpit" LP and just in time for the band's 20th anniversary, AMEN 81 are releasing their fourth album and doing everything right: 15 new smash hits with very angry German lyrics and musical variety in the field of tension between punk rock, crust, hardcore and German punk. The trio's roots lie unmistakably in the political crust of the 80s, along with 90s straight edge hardcore and some classic German punk. "Le Grand Tour De Passe-Passe" offers consistently catchy, direct songs and a wide variety of vocals, which are now shared by all three band members. In addition, the lyrics are short and to the point, bundling and conveying aggression and yet never drifting into dullness or parole talk - typical AMEN 81, contentious, controversial and sometimes provocative. One of the main themes is religion, but the other wickednesses of the world also get their get their fair share.
