  • Meleeh - to live and die alone

  • Black Boned Angel - verdun
Black Boned Angel - verdun-BLACK BONED ANGEL return with their second Riot Season release, following the sold out 'Eternal Love/Eternal Hunger' Vinyl LP (REPOSELP013). Sharing a similarly bleak ground to CORRUPTED, SUNN 0))) and EARTH, New Zealand's BLACK BONED ANGEL return with their fourth full length album 'Verdun', and perhaps their most sombre and fully-realised work to date. The Battle of Verdun was fought between the German and French armies, and was one of the critical battles during World War 1 on the Western Front. It resulted in more than a quarter of a million battlefield deaths and at least half a million wounded. Verdun was the longest battle and one of the most devastating in World War 1 and indeed in history. Over the course of 50 minutes, BBA soundtrack that brutal conflict with their trademark dark ambient drones and doom-laden riffs. The CD version of this release contains an exclusive extra piece entitled 'Tears Strike The Mile High Gong' and comes in a card gatefold sleeve (1000 copies only). "Moving through periods of heavily processed ghostly drones and incorporating what sounds like a choir singing from the mouth of hell, it really has gigantic scope." - KERRANG!

  • Pelican - same
Pelican - same-Chicago instrumentalists Pelican startle then lull the soul, establishing an aural atmosphere listeners can be jarred by and then lose themselves in. The quartet propels with purpose, demonstrating instrumental songs can be urgent and impacting, not just dismissed as 'mood' music. Pelican entrenches resonant tones deep into the listener's psyche and maintains interest and attention.

  • Cursed - the last session
Cursed - the last session-"This is the last Cursed recording, from the doomed final tour that we didn't know was the doomed final tour yet. Recorded live off the floor like we'd play it. 5 songs spanning all 3 LPs that we came to play faster and differently live than they were originally recorded." -- Chris Colohan.

  • Contropotere - nessuna speranza, nesuna paura
Contropotere - nessuna speranza, nesuna paura-Released for the first time in the digital format, 'Nessuna speranza nessuna paura' is probably the last of the great, unforgettable masterpieces of the glorious decade of Italian hardcore, and undoubtedly one of the most meaningful. Originally released in 1989 on the legendary Attack Punk label, this record mixed the blind, furious rage of classic Italian hardcore with more industrial/metal influences and dark, avant-garde atmospheres: almost like what Neurosis would later become, and anticipating the sounds and visions of labels like Neurot and Southern Lord. After years of over-the-top shows throughout Europe, with female singer Lucia's powerful and aggressive presence and a theatrical approach to the stage, alternated with frantic political activism in the extreme-left movements and the squat scene of their hometown, Naples, the Contropotere "collective" acquired a true cult status which shows no sign of disappearing, even after twenty years. Digitally remastered from the original tape reels, after years of hopeless searches in dusty basements, this is one of the most crucial hardcore punk records of all time, limited to 500 copies in a luxurious digipack edition including an insert/poster.

Features different artwork (designed by Stephen O'Malley) than the cd. Also contains 2 bonus tracks exclusive to the vinyl release! To say this was the ultimate version of this album would be a gross understatement!

  • Melvins/ Brian Walsby - manchild #4 & pick your battles
Melvins/ Brian Walsby - manchild #4 & pick your battles-Once again, Mr. Brian Walsby has compiled a collection of edgy, biting comic art and bad assed, rare tunes from the Melvins. MANCHILD 4 is 100 pages of illustrations and stories from a comic artist who's been poking fun at subversive youth culture, pop culture, your favorite band, and himself since the early ë80s. You'll laugh. You'll cringe. You just might get angry and start a message board war. Contents of Brian's new book include "No! I Don't Want To Play Your Effing House Party", "Frisky's Beaver Hut", "We Were All Assholes", "My First Orgasm", "Emo Rock Revival", and tons of others. There's also an in depth Melvins 2008 tour diary that's sure to break a few eggs. Pick Your Battles is a 15 song CD of live Melvins tunes recorded in 1989 at the 924 Gilman St. Project in Berkeley, Ca. and in 2008 at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston. The track list is as follows: Koolegged, Oven, Cranky Messiah, Raise a Paw, Ever Since My Accident, Green Honey, Claude, You're Blessened, Nude With Boots, The Kicking Machine, Eye Flys, Rat Faced Granny, The Hawk, You've Never Been Right, and Boris.

  • Melvins/ Brian Walsby - manchild #3 & making love demos
Melvins/ Brian Walsby - manchild #3 & making love demos-Elder punk/art statesman Brian Walsby is back with another stinging slab of satirical comic art. In this new collection, Brian applies his fine tuned illustrative skill and wit to the following masterpieces: The Melvins 2006 Tour Diary, Life After Black Flag, SCTV: The Best Goddamn Comedy Show Ever, Magical Melvins Moments, Hang The DJ, Careers of the Black Flag My War Puppet, How I Survived Grunge, Rules For Young Rock Bands On TV, Whatever Became of Your Favorite Punk Rock Mascots, Rodney On the Rock, Well Meaning White Guilt, and many others. Oh yeah... MANCHILD 3 comes with a Melvins CD. The Making Love Demos is a collection of 8 unreleased tracks recorded by the band in 1987. While the original master tapes have long since disappeared, It just so happens that Mr. Walsby was given a copy of this recording back in 88 and held onto it just for this very moment. Weve had the whole thing mastered and tweaked for your listening/collecting pleasure. Its still raw as hell, but we like it that way. Four of these songs were re-tooled and recorded for the Ozma record. Four of them exist only on this CD.

  • Boris - at last - feedbacker
Boris - at last - feedbacker-"A single 43-minute composition / symphony (broken into five tracks for easier access) from Japan's drone druids that goes from etheral to crushingly heavy and everything between. Stark in contrasts and attention to texture." Some bands are fly-by-night operations, garnering instant fame, critical acclaim and shattering all album sales expectations within their first couple years of operation. You've seen 'em before - they're certainly here today, everyone's darlings tomorrow, and merely relegated to curbside refuse service just before the end of the week. Boris is certainly not one of those spontaneous success stories. Though the thunderously heavy and melodic Japanese experimental rock outfit has only very recently been introduced to American ears - most notably via its groundbreaking 2006 release, Pink - the trio has been steadily grazing its unique sonic turf for well over the past decade. And the release of its latest full- length endeavor, Smile, will force the boundaries of Boris' already-expansive repertoire -which features nearly a dozen albums - into new extremes. This is the LP version of the cd released in 2005

  • Black Heart Procession - six
Black Heart Procession - six-More than just a return to numerical album titles, Six is The Black Heart Procession's first album to be written and recorded simultaneously with a new Three Mile Pilot album. As both bands now coexist for the first time ever, coconspirators Pall Jenkins and Tobias Nathaniel have steered The Black Heart Procession into a darker, more adventurous direction. Produced and recorded by the band over the past couple years, Six is without a doubt the group's most emotionally resonant album since Three. Brimming with pitch-black ballads of discarded loves and forgotten souls, the album paints a bleak yet strangely comforting portrait of heartbreak, self-destruction and religious allegory over some of their most inspired songs to date, drawing a clear line from here to soulstirring visionaries such as Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash and Tom Waits.

  • Saw Throat - indestroy
Saw Throat - indestroy-Passionate, epic and pounding Crust that is heavily influenced by bands like Amebix, Hellbastard, Antisect. Cool riffage, pounding drums, keyboards and rough vocals are the trademark of their mostly midtempo anarchocrust sound. The allover topic of the album is the man-made destruction of our planet delivered in an urgent way, emphasized by the apocalyptic artwork of Steve Hutton. Re-issue comes in a nicely put together gatefold + linernotes of the "singer".

  • Pelican - what we all come to need
Pelican - what we all come to need-Its been over two years since Pelicans' last album "City of Echoes" was released. Never content to remain stagnant over the course of their almost decade long career, 2009 finds Pelican has shifted gears once again. This year sees them on a new label, Southern Lord and presenting a brand new (their 4th) full length. "What We All Come To Need" is Pelican through and through and the apex of their creative aspirations. It is the album that straddles most confidently the fine line between adherence to roots and the mining of the unexplored. This isnt maturation as much as it is confidence and purpose, and the latter are stamped on every note. Greg Anderson (sunn 0))), Goatsnake, Ascend), Aaron Turner (ISIS), Allen Epley (Shiner,Life And Times), as well as Ben Verellen (Helms Alee) guested, lending the record organic diversity.

  • Neurosis - times of grace
Neurosis - times of grace-A ferocious new war cry from Oakland's auteurs. Brutally honest, original, and categorically defiant! This bold new work lures with its vivid rhythms, strikes with a siege of emotion, and consumes with abysmal force!

  • Melvins - chicken switch
Melvins - chicken switch-Chicken Switch is a 15-song remix CD with a twist. Unlike usual remix CDs where the remixer is given a single track to work with, for Chicken Switch each remixer was given a full album to work with and pull from to create their track (and in some cases, more than one full album was used as source material). The song names were also newly selected by their remixer.

  • Shrinebuilder - same
Shrinebuilder - same- There are moments [as they are and as we configure them] strung together amidst all of our other moments of slow growing awareness, when the tectonic shifting of who we think we are gets overcome and overwhelmed by who we really are. And IF we are lucky, it happens without too much bloodshed. It births, it dies, it lives without bloodshed for the rare and sainted few. For the rest of us it happens to us [and not for us]. And it is accompanied by a quickening purpose and transcendent understanding of our goddamned place in space: we build our places of worship up on high for a reason, and SHRINEBUILDER -- created by Al Cisneros, Scott "Wino" Weinrich, Dale Crover and Scott Kelly - shares the season and the reason: because it is closer to the gods. So it was that the calling was answered as simply as a phone call could have been and was made. Cisneros called Weinrich, Kelly, and later Crover and decided, in full-blown ex nihilo fashion to make some music beyond the summed parts of all what had been done before and in doing so rediscover why it had been done in the first place. Beyond the parts, beyond beyond, and here descriptors that you will read every OTHER place but that go without saying here...crushing, killing and heavy, heavy, heavy...seem somehow too much and not enough. It is Wagnerian. It is Iommic. It is simply: SHRINEBUILDER.

  • Dominic - nord
Dominic - nord-The four Norwegian guys from Dominic form one of the most lovely bands you can imagine. They have toured Europe several times, leaving smiling faces everywhere. Asking people about their opinion on Dominics music you will recognize that they have a hard time classifying it. You will often here the name Jr. Ewing, not only because they share the same national origin but also because of their success in combining energy and emotions to create some fresh Post-Hardcore that simply blows you away
