Patsy O'Hara - deathinteresse-PATSY O' HARA was formed back in early 2007 when 5 young men gathered to start something to live up their love for dark and aggressive yet melodic hardcore-punk. Musically "deathinteresse" is a badass bastard of rock 'n' roll driven hardcore with a good portion of Portland hardcore-punk, not unlike FROM ASHES RISE, TRAGEDY etc. or even early Swedish ENDSTAND with dark and desperate lyrics/vocals which have often been compared to those of MODERN LIFE IS WAR and their likes. Emerging from the wreckage of the Anarcho Punk scene spawned by the likes of Crass and Conflict, it took its influences from the studs 'n' leather Punk bands of the early '80s such as Discharge and GBH, and also the nascent American Hardcore movement and the emerging Metal/Punk crossover scene. Filter all of this through some through fiercely DIY aesthetics and you had a potent movement that spawned such seminal acts as Napalm Death, ENT, The Stupids and Heresy. They played a bunch of shows at legendary punk venues like CBGBs and ABC No Rio. Heavily influenced by S.O.A., Negative FX and Siege, this record amalgamates gruff vocals with extremely raw, fast hardcore. This discography release contains pretty much everything they recorded including their 1989 demo, 7", compilation tracks, album, unreleased Red C cover with Daryl on vocals and a live recording with Daryl on vocals. The 8" live flexi was left out due to its bad sound quality. Gatefold sleeve includein a double sided A2 poster and zine styled booklet with old photos and additional information about each release. -

Cross Stitched Eyes - coranach-Were there a United Nations of Punk, the trilateral union of nationalities in Cross Stitched Eyes would make an excellent security council. Not only do they collaborate across American, German, and English boundaries, but they would probably scare rogue nations into submission. Rightly compared to Amebix, Rudimentary Peni, and Killing Joke, Cross Stitched Eyes, formed in 2005, breathe new life into the anarcho-crust genre. Drummer and vo- calist Jason Willer played in Lookout Records' Enemies (with Dave Ed of Neurosis), The UK Subs, and Drain the Sky; guitarist Tim Crow was in Sworn Liars, Zygote, Bad Influence, and Smart Pils; and guitarist Chris Hutto played in Black Mass. Rounding out the rhythmic pedigree is bassist Mr. Stevie of Tourette Syndrome and Anger of Bacteria, plus Subhumans (UK) drummer Trotsky. All this name-dropping and reference-checking only matters insofar as the music kicks ass with a steel-toed boot. After releasing a 7-inch on Ruin Nation and an al- bum on Active, Cross Stitched Eyes pack fourteen short but perfectly compact songs together for their Alternative Tentacles debut. Unafraid to let loose with noise damage on "Substance" or get melodic with "Breath of Lies," the band shows a diversity of styles on Coranach. Dirgey and doom-y elements abound and the sound quality surpasses the muddy fidelity of the band's predecessors. This LP comes with a CD so you can have your vinyl AND your digital! -
