Greyline - behind the masquerade-The mixing of Behind The Masquerades was done by Philip Cope. He is responsible for the production of The Red Album (Relapse 2009) by the rock/metal band Baroness, and is producer and guitarist/vocalist for the stoner/sludge-formation Kylesa. Scott Hull (Visceral Sound) did the powerful masterering. Hull is guitarist/producer for Agorophobic Nosebleed and Pig Destroyer, and produced/mastered numerous releases for cultmetal-label Relapse Records.GREYLINE is a profound Dutch rock/metal band, founded in the end of 2001. The last couple of years the band intensively toured through Europe while not forgetting to astonish their home crowd. The band was invited to the well known Waldrock and Eurosonic festivals and shared stages with bands like Slayer, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge and Textures. In the summer of 2003 the band released their first EP containing four fast and aggressive songs with a healthy doses of melody. In 2004 GREYLINE recorded their first full length album Red Carpet Avenue at the Rekorder studio in Hamburg. This both nationally and internationally highly appreciated record revealed a more complex and heavy side of the band. During their promotional tour trough Europe they shared stages with bands like Shai Hulud, Converge and The Red Chord. Last year the band took their time to write and record nine dark, heavy and intensive songs. On their new album, entitled Behind The Masquerade, the focus lies more on compact and catchy song structures. Resulting into a fine mix between bands like Baroness, Poison The Well and Neurosis. Heavy, powerful and brutal. Some songs more edging towards catchy rock while other songs are slow and painful with great heavy riffs. Delaney Davidson - self decapitation-Geboren und Aufgewachsen in Neu Seeland 1972, als Musik Junkie geboren und als rastlos herumreisende Seele mit seiner Girarre und Zugposaune aufgewachsen.. dies führte ihn nach Bern in der Schweiz, wo er als Koch im Cafe Kairo arbeitete und dort Reverend Beat-Man kennen lernte sowie die Philosophie hinter dem Voodoo Rhythm Label; dann die Dead Brothers, mit denen er 2 Alben aufgenommen und mitgeschrieben hat, und endlose Touren, dann On the Road alleine als Delaney Davidson's One Man Ghost Orchestra mit Holy Golightly (US Tour) Wolven hand und Reverend Beat-Man ( US Tour and Europe). Für seine erste Schallplatte und CD hat er seine One Man Band Idee implodieren lassen und viele Gaäste eingeladen um ihn im Studio zu unterstützen wie: Dan (Woggle) Elektro , Reverend Beat-Man, Garage Kid, Fanfare Kalashnikov, E. McFadden etc . Die meisten Sachen wurden im Outside Inside Studio von MojoMatt Bordin in Montebelluna Italy aufgenommen, andere sachen in Wisconsin, San Francisco, ,Wellington New Zealand und Lovelite Studios in Berlin. Diese Scheibe ist eine Riesenarbeit und eine Reise um die ganze Welt, in die Delaney euch auf seiner wirren, von Farbenfroh bis tief schwarze, Weltreise mitnimmt. Mr Suave Delaney Davidson ist relative schwer auf einen Stil festzunageln.. Es hat Elemente seiner Dead Brothers-Jahre zu finden, dann viel R&B, Blues, Singer/Songwriter, Folk from around the world, Nick Cave etc
