Their daunting presence is synonymous with everything dark, and since their beginnings, they have influenced other bands, been the subject of documentaries, provided music to television shows like The Vampire Diaries; and was even mentioned in the vampire novel, "Vanitas" by S.P. Somtow. The Deep Eynde is back with their new full length release, SPELL*BOUND, and marks the bands return to their darker beginnings. With the direction of producer Jeff Blue (Linkin Park), and Producer Chad Blinman (Resident Evil, Face To Face, Faith & The Muse), TDE have stripped their music down to the most personal level they have done to date. SPELL*BOUND is the 6th their studio release. TDE was first formed by singer Fate Fatal as a performance art act in Hollywood, but as the music writing progressed, the artistic nature came to a halt. Up to that point, Fatal had no band experience, but was soon known for singing backup for Siouxsie during one of her Creatures tours in Los Angeles. TDE'S first two albums (City Lights & Suicide Drive) were released by Apollyon Records in Germany in the late 90's. "Hoodoo" was the first of their songs to chart on college radio stations. Fatal's diverse ability to cross over to different styles is apparent in "Alone Again, a duet with Gitane Demone (Christian Death).

Als CD auf FIENDFORCE erschienen, ist Mutant Monster Boogie das bisher beste und abwechslungsreichste Album des Quartetts, das seinen Stilmix aus Horrorpunk und Psychobilly im Geiste von Vorbildern wie MAD SIN, ALIEN SEX FIEND, THE DAMNED, THE CRAMPS oder MISFITS kreiert. Vielschichtigkeit und Abwechslungsreichtum werden auf den 14 Tracks groß geschrieben. In München hat sich's ausgetoischt: die einstige ARGLISTIGE TOISCHUNG tritt unter neuem Namen und mit neuen Klängen in die zweite Runde. War der alte Bandname schon anfangs nur halbherzig gewählt und eher als Notlösung zu sehen, ist er heute nur noch ein nostalgisches Relikt aus alten Tagen. Zum anzüglich-rockigen Namen kommt auf "Good education - Bad reputation" ein verwegen-dämonischer Sound: Balls'n'Boobs haben ihre Psychobilly-Vorliebe charmant vertieft, mit Horror-Punk Szenario unterlegt und zu einem hochprozentigen Horrorpunkabilly-Cocktail aus 13 blutrünstigen Ghostriders gemixt. "Burning Wheels", "Favorite Gamblers" oder "Candlelight Corpses" geben das Schritt-Tempo vor. Dazu noch eine hochgradig zähnefletschende Speed-Version von "Folsom prison blues", dem Man in Black würde sie ob ihrer Respektlosigkeit sicher gefallen. Ansonsten muß man diverse Schubladen aufziehen, um die Band zu stilistisch zu kategorisieren, aber wer auf eine zünftige Billy-Mixtur aus Horrorpops, Creepshow, Mad Sin, Johnny Cash und zügigem Punk Rock steht, kann bei Balls'n'Boobs wenig falschmachen. Bis auf zwei Songs sind alle Texte in englisch gehalten und werden von Front-Sirene Jessy höchst dynamisch mit gewaltiger Stimme vorgetragen.
