Love Potion - intimacy-Early 90s danish Hardcore in the vein of Death Token style reminding of Gasmask Terror, in that they both play fast and dirty not PC hardcore that just skirts crust territory, but never quite crosses the line, and instead favors tighter playing and more memorable riffs. Great vocals on this one, too. This is a great 3 Tracks record, but not for PC addicted guys. Awesome artwork by Sugi, limited to 500.

D.I.S. - critical failure
D.I.S. - critical failure-A crushing powerhouse of Swedish influenced D-Beat mixed with ripping metal and thrash, backed by traditionally aggressive punk vocals. This is D.I.S. Bringing together a combined total of over 75 years experience and dedication to the underground through various bands, DIS is an unstoppable bulldozer of heaviness and ferocity. DIS Started to take form in 2008 as a new undertaking from Bruce Reeves, a founding member of Grindcore legends Phobia and heavy sludge masters Mange. Parting ways with Phobia after 15 years of grinding, it was time to move in another direction. Enlisting the help of Sean Vahle (Eat The Living) on drums and Mike Fisher (ex-No Warning) on Vocals, song writing began. D.I.S. then invited Kent Elmore, formerly of Mange to join the band on Bass and put the finishing touches on what would become their 2008 demo. Shortly after the demo, long time friend and underground legend Leon del Muerte whose entirely-too-long list of bands include such acts as Exhumed, Intronaut, Phobia, Impaled and Murder Construct was recruited to play guitar. With the line up now secure, D.I.S. were ready to hit the stage in full force. Playing with the likes of The Accused, Naked Aggression, General Surgery, Phobia, Cattle Decapitation, Litmus Green, Lack Of Interest, Bastard Noise, War cry, and Gravehill, D.I.S established themselves as a brutal band that appeals to both the heaviest of metal and punk crowds. Cementing the line up and their unique sound, the end of 2009 brought D.I.S. back into the studio to record their first full length "Critical Failure". With a release in Spring 2010 through Deep Six (US) and Power It Up (EUR), D.I.S. will be heading across the U.S. in support of their new record. In the works are a few split releases and future plans for a new record in 2011, with a European tour to follow along with other various world dominating activities.

We Butter The Bread With Butter - der tag an dem die welt unterging-Mit der Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums "Das Monster aus dem Schrank" (Redfield Records) legten WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER Ende 2008 den Grundstein für eine unglaubliche Entwicklung! Nachdem die Band schon damals wochenlang die MySpace Charts anführte, haben sie mittlerweile eine Fanbase von über 35.000 Freunden, überwiegend aus dem amerikanischen Raum. Kein Wunder, ist ihr Album dort unter anderem exklusiv über die bekannten Hot Topic Stores erhältlich. Der Erfolg führte sogar zum Einstieg auf Platz #42 in den US-iTunes Charts (Top Releases) in der Woche vor Weihnachten 2009. Das lange erwartete zweite Album "Der Tag an dem die Welt unterging" erscheint nun am 14. Mai 2010 weltweit via Redfield Records. Was sich wie eine übliche Floskel der Musikbranche anhört, kann sich mit bereits zwei Millionen Plays auf der MySpace-Seite der Band belegen lassen! So oft wurden die beiden neuen Tracks des Albums bereits nach zwei Tagen angehört. Etliche begeisterte Kommentare belegen zudem die ernorme Erwartungshaltung der Fanschar. Musikalisch präsentieren sich WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER mit ihrem Deathcore abwechslungsreicher als beim Vorgänger. Erneut in Eigenregie und opulent produziert, sind auf "Der Tag an dem die Welt unterging" wieder viele mächtige Breakdowns, fiese Growls und Pig Squeels am Start. Neben einem wüsten Gitarrengewitter und einem kraftvollen Schlagzeug ("3008") finden sich immer wieder elektronische Elemente und Streicher-Parts ("Schiff Ahoi") auf den Tracks wieder. Dabei zeigen sich die vom Duo zur kompletten Band gewachsenen WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER gereifter, donnern mit schweren, eingängigen Rock-Riffs (Oh Mama mach Kartoffelsalat) durch die Boxen oder laden sogar zum Tanzen ("Der kleine Vampir") ein. Red Chord, The - fed through the teeth machine-Nothing like a little old fashion infuriation and disgust over the recycled, unoriginal and done-to-death landscape to get those creative juices pumping to explosive levels within a musician! While the heavy music scene is flooded and littered with trendy, current fusion bands that string together electronics and mosh and pretend to be as brutal as fuck, The Red Chord arent having any of it. The music on their fourth full-length (and third for Metal Blade), Fed Through the Teeth Machine, is like a hulking hammer that rips and tears at the fabric of all that is trend-driven. But The Red Chord arent making music for that purpose; theyre just good enough to flip off trends and top the bands that perpetrate them. The Massachusetts band which has downsized to a lean n mean four-piece to counteract the bad economy function as a quartet without sacrificing any of their Rottweiler-like ferocity and tenacity - continues to focus on making extreme metal, for extreme people who want something lyrically and musically outside the box and forward thinking and dont want some assembly-line, manufactured, of the moment band in their lives. Put simply: If you want to have your bones reduced to dust and your brain taken out scrambled and put back in by music, then The Red Chord are up for that task with Fed Through the Teeth Machine.

Ihr Cocktail aus komplexen Songstrukturen ist keine leichte Kost,. In den 13 Jahren, die diese Band aus New Jersey existiert, haben sie eine Entwicklung von einer Underground Trash Band zur einem genre-definierenden Ausgangspunkt in der musikalischen Landschaft genommen.
Das Meisterstück "Option Paralysis", produziert von ihrem langjährigen Mitstreiter Steve Evetts (THE CURE, SEPULTURA), beinhaltet all ihre typischen Eigenschaften wie furiose Breaks und asymetrische Rythmusmuster, wie auch unerwartete, eindrucksvolle Melodien. Japanische Kampfhörspiele - bilder fressen strom-FUCK TRIGGERS, IT'S OVER, MAN! 2010 stehen die punkophilen Luxusinvaliden Jaka schon wieder vor der Tür und klingeln Sturm. Die neue Platte heißt BILDER FRESSEN STROM.Jaka haben dieses Mal sehr old school und mit so wenig technischem Schickschnack wie möglich aufgenommen.Die Gitarren lassen diesmal auch dem Bass Luft, die Bassdrums wurden mal nicht getriggert. Die Vocals sind nicht nur schnell wie nie, sondern auch ungewohnt verständlich. Und: man hat mit First Takes gearbeitet, einer fast schon ausgestorbenen Kunst in Zeiten, in denen Riffs Ton für Ton eingespielt und dann zusammengeschoben werden. Die Band hat auf vermeintliche Brutalität gepfiffen und so ein sehr kraftvolles Album produziert (ist Brutalität eventuell das Gegenteil von Kraft?).Jakas Lieblings-Däne Jacob Bredahl mischte die knappe Dreiviertelstunde elegantesten Grindpunks so naturbelassen wie möglich. Klingt also wie aus der guten alten Zeit vor dem Produktions-Overkill, infolge dessen ja heute alles weitestgehend gleich klingt. Die Platte ist laut, kratzt aber nicht konstant an der roten Dezibel-Linie. Transparenz, Dynamik und Charme statt Brutalität lautet die Devise, welche hoffentlich einen Wendepunkt im Sumpf der Metal-von-der-Stange-Produktionen einleitet. Die Buntheit ihrer Mischung hat das Essener Sextett nochmal erweitert. Und die Texte? Lest selbst!Ach ja: mit Willi Wucher (Pöbel & Gesocks) haben die Jaka auf BILDER FRESSEN STROM noch einen Gastsänger am Start der sich (nicht) gewaschen hat.
